Thanks for checking out Madina Script! A fabulously fun yet elegant script font with tons of energy, allowing you to create beautiful hand-made typography in an instant. With extra bouncy curves & loops, Madina Script is guaranteed to make your text stand out – perfect for logos, printed quotes, invitations, cards, product packaging, headers and whatever your imagination holds.

What’s really awesome is that Madina Script comes with a complete set of lowercase alternates, which allows you to create even more authentic custom-feel text. Another great feature is the bonus ornaments font, which allows you to add some really unique and elegant finishing touches to your script text.

★ New Update • Madina Clean! Madina Script has now been updated to include 2 styles; a rough, textured brush version, and a totally clean & smooth version. This gives you the option to completely switch the style of your font at the click of a mouse, whether you’re looking for a more rustic, hand-made style, or a silky smooth finish.

Here’s what you get in the download;

1. Madina Script • A handwritten script font containing upper & lowercase characters, numerals and a large range of punctuation.

2. Madina Script Alt • This is a second version of Madina Script, with a completely new set of both lowercase characters. If you wanted to avoid letters looking the same each time to recreate a custom-made style, or try a different word shape, simply switch to this font for an additional layout option.

3. Madina Script Ornaments • This includes 30 hand-drawn elements, including end-swashes for first and last letters, olive branches and flourishes. (Please note that not all end-swashes will perfectly fit every letter when first typed, but a little position-tweaking should allow you to add some really unique styles to your Script text with this ornament pack. Tip: Click on the last preview image for a character map of the ornaments font!)

4. Madina Clean, Madina Clean Alt & Madina Clean Ornaments • Clean versions of the above 3 fonts, with the rough brush texture removed and replaced with a completely smooth edge.

  • Fonts are provided in TTF & OTF formats. I recommend installing the TTF files, and the OTF only if necessary. There is no difference in function with either format.
  • Fonts include multilingual support for the following languages; English, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Swedish, Norweigen, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Polish, Indonesian, Filipino, Malay

    Hey! Quick design question — how do you navigate two consecutive t’s? For example in “letters”? The crosses look sloppy with in both the original and alternative versions, and a script writer would just cross them once.

      Hi, I purchased the madina script font yesterday and it went to the page to download, but it said I would receive an email to download the font and I never received it. I also sent an email showing I paid for the font but still haven’t gotten a response.

    I purchased the Medina Clean font from MyFonts and it doesn’t let me use the alternates. Do I need photoshop or Illustrator to use them? I use Inkscape and usually copy alternates over from the character map but it doesn’t let me with this font.

      Hi Gabriela, thanks for your purchase! The alternates should be built into the Madina Clean font – you just need to switch on the ‘Stylistic Alternates’ function. If you’re having trouble accessing this, I’ve just e-mailed you the alternate characters in their own separate font, called ‘Madina Clean Alt’. I hope that helps! 🙂

        Hello Sam,

        I just purchased the Madina Font Family (Script and Clean) from MyFonts and also cannot access the alternate characters. I use Silhouette Studio mostly. The alternate characters also do not appear in my characters, only Latin glyphs show.

          Hi! The Myfonts versions have the alternate characters built in as an OpenType feature, which isn’t supported by Silhouette Studio. If you could send me your purchase receipt to sam@setsailstudios.com I’d be happy to send you a copy of Madina Script Alt and Madina Clean Alt which contain the full alternate character set 🙂
