A New Way to use Ligatures with Canva
Good news for ligature lovers! The hugely popular design app Canva now supports the use of font ligatures (unique double letter combinations). In the video above we take a quick look at turning on this new feature. No copying and pasting from other design programs, just a simple switch of a button!
1. Add a Text Box from the ‘Text’ menu in the side bar
2. Click the font menu along the top menu bar, and choose a font which supports ligatures.
3. Head to the ‘Advanced Formatting’ icon on the top horizontal bar, then choose the Typography tab
4. Turn on the Ligatures button
Any available ligatures should now automatically generate as you type with the font. 🙌
