Fortnite choose Atomic Font for new Season
One video game that needs no introduction surely has to be Fortnite – this massively popular franchise (with over 650 million registered players!) selected my font Atomic Marker to front the logo for their latest season, Shock ’N Awesome. The raw energy and texture of this hand-drawn marker pen font injects the excitement needed to match such a fast paced & fun game, amplifying the ‘Awesome’ part of the logo. This is a great example of using contrasting typography, by pairing a dynamic and colourful hand-drawn font against the backdrop of a stronger and more muted sans-serif.
It’s amazing to be a part of such a huge cultural phenomenon, and to see my work featured at the heart of something enjoyed by so many players around the world.
